Why I Built This Site
There’s a lot of AI content out there. Most of it is one of two things: breathless hype from people who’ve never shipped anything, or surface-level content that treats you like you’ve never opened a browser.
Stack Operator AI is neither of those. It exists because I got tired of reading 47 reviews of the same tool that all said the same thing — none of which told me what actually happened when someone built a real workflow with it.
So I started documenting my own builds. The AI coding agents I actually use. The automations that save me hours. The local models I’ve run on my own hardware. The workflows that failed. The ones that worked. All of it — in public, with enough detail that you could actually reproduce it.
What I Actually Do
I’m a solo operator building systems at the intersection of AI, automation, and content. That means I wear a lot of hats: builder, tester, writer, infrastructure operator. My current setup includes a personal Agent OS — a layered stack of AI agents, local models, and automation resolvers running on my own hardware. I use it daily for writing, research, code, and content production. The build log for that project lives on this site.
I also run a test bench for AI tools. Before I write about something, I put it through real workflows. That means Claude Code, Codex, local LLMs via Colibri, n8n automations, AI video tools, and whatever else crosses my desk and looks worth testing.
The “Operator” Philosophy
The word operator is intentional. An operator isn’t just a user. An operator builds systems, understands the levers, and makes deliberate choices about what to automate and what to keep human. They’re not chasing every shiny new release — they’re building something durable out of what actually works.
That’s the audience this site is written for: people who want to move faster and build smarter, not people who want to be told AI will solve all their problems without doing any work.
